You'll notice that nobody is talking about future availability.

I can't believe that is anything but accidental.

With a company like CMON I would raise lots and lots and lots and lots of issues with their fulfillment capabilities. But they tried hard - I get that. And what they did do was make it very clear why Kickstarter was in my best interest - you might not want what they sell, but if you did you were pretty motivated to invest, and always motivated to spend just a little more than you wanted to ...

Queen Games is all the way on the other side of the spectrum where Kickstarter is being used as a presale mechanism of a planned product. All their funding options are basically just discount bundles of their existing product line. Kingdom Builder doesn't even have stretch goals. Nothing is ever exclusive, but you do get to break even with discounted MSRP if you get it all so, meh, why not?

Fun Forge is somewhere in the middle, and they might be the weirdest and most awkward because of it. There is some incentive (unclearly defined as exclusive?), but its not a super great fit with the product. They are uncertain on what they want to commit to - both out of design consideration as a manufacturer, and to their credit what makes sense to a customer. They are still learning how they want to use this.

Which is nice. But crowd funding only made real sense to me when done like Zombicide - keep the benefits clear, keep adding stretch goals to increase funding, keep the message on target. The Queen and Fun Forge examples seem....counterintuitive.
