That's 344 total plays from 44 different games.

October saw my highest number of plays in a month for 2023 (so far), even beating out September's 303 plays. For better or for worse, most of these were online via Board Game Arena...again... And a lot of these plays involved getting back to Elite status on BGA for Can't Stop in the final days of the old Arena season (and getting up to Diamond already in the new season :devil:). Friday on Friday, November 2023 is already live, 2023 Friday on Friday: Play Friday EVERY Friday of 2023 has been updated, and I have some new co-hosts for 2024 :whistle:. Stay tuned for updates on future Friday shenanigans.

Standouts of the month included:
1) Can't Stop because I just Can't Stop.
2) Forest Shuffle continued to be a favorite.
3) Getting Deliverance and Call of Kilforth: A Fantasy Quest Game to the floor for their first plays. And
4) Learning some new games: Colorado and Boomerang: Europe.


My biggest regrets are pretty close to the same regrets that I've been expressing since the Spring:
1) not playing more physical games/IRL plays.
2) not keeping up with GMT projects. And
3) not getting enough play time with Mom.


October saw me make up some ground. I'm back onboard the FTL and I'm making more of an effort to keep up with 1 Player Guild. I'm still behind on GCL and way, way out-of-the-loop on GMT. My own designs are still progressing okay-ish. I need to check-in on all of my currently available WIP/contest designs this weekend and work on a few new-ish ideas.

I still haven't quite struck the right balance between online plays, BGG time, blogging, official projects, and my own designs. To keep the ball rolling, my November goals include: 1) getting the 1 Player Guild Holiday Card Exchange up and running, 2) getting caught up and getting into a groove going forward with my GCL (Horizon), 3) finally completing my first draft of the boardgame-centric article I've been preparing for a certain website :whistle:, and 4) finally, finally, finally catching up on GMT projects. Oh, and re-working my BGG profile with my new Letter to Santa(s) :whistle:.
