We always play with the Crossroads and Matsuri expansions, so in my house, we handle ties as follows:1. Most Achievement Cards
2. Most number of remaining coins
3. Most Matsuri Events that person activated
4. Order of arrival at the last inn (with the player arriving last being the most favored)
Example:
Player 1 (first to arrive at the final inn): 78 points - 2 Achievement Cards - 1 remaining coin - 1 Matsuri Event activated
Player 2 (middle to arrive at the final inn): 78 points - 2 Achievement Cards - 1 remaining coin - no Matsuri Events activated
Player 3 (last to arrive at the final inn): 78 points - 2 Achievement Cards - no remaining coins - 2 Matsuri Events activated
In this example, the win would go to Player 1. If the players had the same number of Matsuri Events activated or if you are not playing with the expansion, the win would go to Player 2. If Player 3 had just one more coin, they would win (and that's true even if you were not playing with the Matsuri expansion).
This is just my house and the best we came up with. I hope this helps people!
