Nice review, it reflects the general feelings of my gaming group. We played it for the first time last Friday and loved it, although there also was a slight feeling of disappointment: the game was over so soon!

Do you also feel that, for all its lightness, the game is just a little bit too short and that maybe another ten spaces or so would give the players a better run for their money without dragging the game out? Of course, we've only had one session so far.
To me, the game feels the right length for the lightness. I haven't felt like I needed more turns to achieve what I want, and that's winning or losing. I love the simplicity but equally, would like more choice. With this, I would be happy for a longer game.

On the other hand, the game's duration does allow us to play two games on a game night. That won't happen if we play Castles of Burgundy or even Carcassonne - the AP that comes with those games just eats up too much time :-).
