Hello. This weekend some friends and I will be going to a new board game cafe and I'm wondering if this would be a good game for us to try. None of us have played before but because the cafe published a list of games along with times needed to play I thought I'd learn the game before going. Just curious if you all think this would be good for 3 players to pickup and play in 45 minutes as they suggest? Are the rules fairly easy or will this take some time to learn? Even if the cafe is dedicated to board games I would stay away from games that have a lot of components, chits, tiny pieces... as you are likely to lose some and the most annoying thing is to find an incomplete set the next time you want to play your game.
My vote would be for smaller, more contained games like Biblios, Love Letter, or something with larger and fewer components like Desert Island that are easier to track and the playing area is well managed.
